as a Native American Choctaw Indian and a designer, i search for ways to embrace my heritage while creating original contemporary pieces that speak to the spirit + vocabulary of traditional Native American jewelry. i balance this interpretation by incorporating a mixture of traditional materials such as sterling silver, freshwater pearls and turquoise, as well as modern elements such as monofilament. my designs seek to embody movement while celebrating a pure architectural gesture that speaks a modern voice to my ancestors.
